The Paid Media Strategy Director is a crucial member of our organization and will responsible for:
  • Understanding the paid media landscape staying up to date on trends and technologies
  • Define our paid media model and services offering which includes search, social, display, video, and digital OOH, looking for ways to specialize in platforms in order to stand out.
  • They will develop the agencies paid media business plan, outlining a multi-year vision, target market, competitive landscape and pricing strategy. This includes our client offering as well as supporting internal marketing to help build a plan to attract potential clients to our owned properties for lead conversion.
  • They will be responsible for management and oversight of a global paid media team partnering with other network brands, legal and operations, platforms and DSP media buying partners.
  • They will mentor the marketing and strategy team to ensure the team understands what paid media is, how to use it effectively in marketing and to share best practices.
  • They are an expert in paid media tools needed to plan and optimize paid media campaigns efficiently. This may include analytical tools and advertising competitive tools.
  • Finally, they will clearly define key performance indicators (KPIs) for your clients and provide regular reports on campaign performance.
YOUR ROLE

In this role you will be responsible for global strategy development (developing and implementing B2B and B2C paid media strategies aligned with overall marketing and business objectives) operating as a collaborator with other departments like account, creative and analytics to ensure cohesive and integrated campaigns.

You will also be a team leader managing a team of strategists, planners and/or analysts providing guidance, mentorship and support to ensure high quality work and success.

You will develop and manage paid media investment strategies, budgets, channel mix, audience targeting strategies, asset languages and allocations for client paid media budgets. And, you will monitor and analyze in-flight and post campaign performance to make data-driven budget adjustments.

You will oversee campaign planning, implementation, execution and measurement of paid media across direct platforms and DSP ad partners overseeing the media buy and ensuring campaigns launch on time and on budget.

You will have fluency in top, middle and bottom funnel strategy development to meet client objectives at different funnel stages, articulate reporting findings, insights and recommendations.

We’re looking for someone who provides insight and ideas to create real business impact across the campaign lifecycle from budget to audience selection to media channels used.  The ideal candidate is comfortable analyzing data, is an avid communicator and storyteller, creative in their approach to solving problems, and is confident in their abilities and experience. You will be a collaborator who is able to see the bigger picture and provide strategic direction to internal teams to achieve our collective goals.

In this role, you will drive the following areas:

Agency Capability
  • Build agency capability for demand generation and lead generation, strategy marketing templates, methodologies to determine investment, channel mix and measurement.
  • Be a thought leader and write agency points of view on paid media that will be promoted on our agency website, social media, at events and other channels.
  • Mentor FTEs/ freelancers to deliver best in class paid media work.
  • Partners with new business to articulate our paid media offering in proposals.
Client Consultancy
  • Advise and support clients in implementing new marketing initiatives or technologies across their organizations as it relates to paid media.
  • Partner with clients to help them grow their understanding of paid media and best practices.
  • Champion innovative solutions to help clients accelerate business growth.
Project Oversight
  • Inspire and support delivery team leaders to translate statements of work into cohesive project plans, assign resources, and define responsibilities.
  • Align clients with a carefully planned and measured approach. Provide positive motivation, guidance, and governance throughout all projects.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
  • At least 3 years of professional services experience in paid media strategy and planning working for an agency.
  • At least 10 years of experience in paid media strategy, digital marketing and/or demand marketing.
  • Experience leading teams and client delivery for global Fortune 500 B2B brands.
  • Have 5 years of agency to client facing experience as a project leader.
  • Comfortable with strategy and campaign design including media strategy, tactical plans, audience targeting, channel investment strategy, channel mix, customer journey mapping and measurement / reporting.
  • Knowledgeable around marketing automation technologies across the MarTech landscape (email, SEO/SEM, web, marketing stack, etc.).
  • Campaign execution and management including paid media management, A/B testing, reporting and analysis, and optimization strategy.
SET YOURSELF APART
  • Strong data and creative storytelling. Ability to align key messages to audiences, develop campaign voice, tone, and theme, and define strong engagement strategies that resonate with clients as it relates to performance marketing.
  • Certifications in related paid media marketing platforms, and other tools/resources.
  • Proven track record of success in performance marketing supported by awards, campaign honors, etc.

Pay ranges: USD 160,000 per annum to USD 200,000 per annum depending on experience.
