Account Director

We are seeking our next change agent who will provide client leadership and is the ultimate leader of client relationships focused on our clients who market and sell data platform products and services (database, data warehouse, big data, business intelligence, cloud/hybrid data platform, etc.) to business and technical audiences. The ideal Account Director is a highly motivated, collaborative, and outgoing oriented leader who is likable with clients, provides strategic recommendations to client challenges and can effectively lead our engagement teams. The individual must also have a good understanding of clients in the Pacific northwest area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Account Director, you will demonstrate the following core responsibilities:

Provide Account Leadership

  • Works with clients to uncover business needs and objectives, craft appropriate strategies, and identifies/implements marketing and content solutions to help achieve client goals.
  • Has a broad spectrum of understanding across Creative, Marketing and Technology offerings.
  • Creates and interprets effective analysis to support marketing strategy and technology enabled recommendations.
  • Develops broad industry expertise.
  • Meets with Account Team on a regular basis to monitor client activity, growth opportunities and profitability by project as well as to develop and execute account plans.

Build and Grow Client Relationships

  • Experience in working with clients who provide big data, data platform, and/or database solutions in Pacific North-West.
  • Understand clients' business and generate new ideas to enhance client performance.
  • Builds trust, credibility, and client referrals.
  • Develops multi-tiered client relationships and ties.
  • Actively pursues new projects from client contacts via status calls and/or regular face-to-face meetings
  • Keeps apprised of client products/services/marketing developments that may be relevant to the team

Effectively Lead Team

  • Works with a team of Engagement Managers who manage and execute day to day management of engagements.
  • Fosters teamwork and a constructive work environment through coaching and mentoring.
  • Provides team leadership that rewards creativity.
  • Reviews Program Plans, Proposals, Pitches, Estimates, and Statements of Work, providing input and insight to the team members

Drive against stated business objectives

  • Works with delivery team leads to develop new client proposals and pitches.
  • Achieves client targets within the context of the underlying opportunity.
  • Maintains or improve account profitability.
  • Manages and drive the pipeline activities as well as update, track and monitor the opportunity pipeline for the Account Team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Dynamic leadership skills that can be applied to the internal team and clients.
  • Experience in working with customers in Pacific North-west.
  • Approximately 5+ years of related industry experience, preferably professional services, either in creative or marketing services experience at an advertising or marketing agency or client company or product management at a client company.
  • Demonstrated track record of client relationship development and service
  • Proven experience in managing teams working cross-functionally within an organization
  • Strong knowledge or experience in internet business, account management/coordination, technology solutions, client/campaign strategy, and product marketing/management.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Advanced verbal and written skills, and analytical thinking skills
  • College degree required
